Biography of Dr. Noel Nowicki

Dr. Nowicki practices integrated medicine, by combining 25 years experience as an Internist with the world of complementary medicine studies. There have been over the past dozen years courses in hypnosis, herbal medicine, manual medicine and energy healing.

His acupuncture training started at UCLA and has included seminars all over the United States and in Europe. Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, where his practice is located, received one of the NIH grants for Alternative Medicine for stroke and neurological disease. One of the studies has been published, another one on asthma is ongoing. A graduate of the only accredited acupuncture school in New Jersey he is on their faculty and also has been teaching acupuncture for UCLA since 1996. The training is in traditional Chinese, Kiiko Matsumot's Japanese, French energetics, Mark Seem's surface energetics, William Craig's PENS percutaneous nerve stimulation, Chinese and Japanese scalp acupuncture and western neuro-anatomical acupuncture.

Besides lecturing and teaching, the practice includes treating patients, for Internal Medicine problems, pain and for rehabilitation from stroke and brain injury. He was the first to have Acupuncture privileges in two hospitals and has been featured in the New York Times and other national and local media.
